Your body tells a thousand stories; nourish it for long term health

Feeling a little tired of hearing the same old advice about nutrition? Or reading so much conflicting info that it's overwhelming? You're not alone! These are the most common complaints I hear from my clients. They just want to know what and who they should listen to and most importantly what they should totally avoid!

I always tell my clients that Nutrition is part science, part art. There are no hard and fast rules and research constantly changes. Diets come and go, our health fluctuates,advice goes around in circles but there is one constant....our bodies are individual. Sometimes our body just seems to do what we want it to and other times it just... well, it just doesn't! Why is this? Because we are evolving humans with adaptive techniques and we live in an environment that's impossible to control.

If you want to find out what works for you personally then you need to experiment a little; try different foods and supplements and work out what your body needs at this time in your life. It might well be different from what you needed 10 years ago. Be open to the process. Go with the flow. Listen to what your body is telling you.

What is the secret to long term health?

Dieting, repetition and restriction are not sustainable  ways of living. Instead my philosophy centres around Naturopathic principles of nourishment, pleasure and excitement surrounding Nutrition, food and lifestyle.  

Using quality ingredients in your cooking, eating tasty flavoursome foods and  being mindful of what is going into your body are the real secrets to health.
